Dvd burning problems

I have been trying to burn a dvd file to two programs. One being nero 7 and the other is a program called cheetah. Anyway, with both of these programs whenever I put in a blank dvd into my cd rom it keeps ejecting it out. I have tried both dvd -r and dvd +r. The drive is able to load up other cds or dvds, its only when i try to copy the file.

Do you know what this could be?

You are using CD-Rom which cannot write data on DVD discs. So if you want to burn a DVD, the first thing you need to do is to replace the CD-ROM with a DVD writer. Then you also need a DVD burning software tool to burn the DVD. You can try Leawo DVD Creator which enables you to burn DVDs from more than 180 types of digital formats without quality losses.

It could be due to less memory in your drive C:/ or where the software is installed. you need to use more memory by deleting or transferring some data to other partitions of the hard drive.

Hope it might help.

Cant burn dvd

You need a dvd burner a burning program and a dvdr burnable disk to be able to burn a dvd
Burning computer files on a DVD can be a great way to backup your information.
Most one-sided writeable and rewritable DVD discs can store nearly five gigabytes of information, while two-sided writeable and rewriteable DVD discs can hold over eight gigabytes.

There are many programs available for purchase that you can use to burn a DVD.
For the sake of this tutorial, we will be using one of the most popular CD and DVD burning utilities Nero Burning ROM.

Read on to learn how to burn a DVD.
Insert your writeable or rewriteable DVD into your writeable DVD drive.

Click on your start menu and select "All Programs," "Nero" and "Nero StartSmart."
Locate the pull-down menu at the top of the window that shows "CD" displayed.

Click on the arrow to view the rest of the menu and select DVD.
Find the icons under the pull-down menu you just used.

Click on the "Data" icon. Then click on "Make Data DVD."
Click on the "Add" button when the Nero Express window opens.

Find the files on your hard drive that you would like to burn to the DVD and select them.
When you're done selecting files, click "Finished."

Select "Next" to get to the Final Burn Settings screen. If you can select the speed at which to write your disc, select the 8x option.

Click "Burn" and wait as your files are burned to the DVD. Click "OK" once the window pops up telling you the burn process was completed successfully. http://www.nero.com/enu/index.html

I burned a new dvd movies, but it does play on my sony player DVP.NC800, but it plays on pc only. please advise

If you burn dvd movies (video files having ".vob" extension and associated dvd files), make sure you burn them as "dvd video", otherwise they might not play in standard dvd players.

For example, when you try to burn dvd files in Nero as a data dvd, mixed mode dvd or a compilation, the program itself will notify you that such a disc may not be playable in a standard dvd player, so you must burn it in "dvd video" mode.

Note that when you select the "dvd video" mode in Nero (i don't know about the other programs though), the standard dvd folders VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS are automatically created by the program, you should only place the video files (not any folders or subfolders) into the VIDEO_TS folder created by the program.

If you are already doing it this way, then the problem is obviously somewhere else.

Hope you can get it solved.

regards

A dvd+r disk I burnt using Nero7 will not play on my dvd player (the extention file of burnt file is .flv

Try converting the file first. Many converters are avaiable online. Assure that it can take FLV (Flash based files) and export as MPEG (or DVD standard) to maximize compatibility.

Found this in a search quickly:
AVS Video Converter is an all-in-one multimedia program for capturing, converting, editing, converting, transferring, burning DVD and movie files. It can convert FLV files to DVD, burn FLV to DVD, as well as convert FLV to all popular video file formats, and even extract MP3/WAV audio from FLV. Supports Youtube, Flash, Google FLV video files.

Good luck
