Please follow the instructions below to connect your Lumix DMC-LZ7 Digital Camera to your computer
1.Install the software ( LUMIX Simple Viewer or PHOTOfunSTUDIO-viewer-) in the CD-ROM (supplied) to your PC. 2.Set the camera to a mode other than the PRINT Mode. 3.Turn on the camera and the PC 4.Connect the camera to the PC via USB Cable (A) as shown in the diagram.Cable (B) is the optional AC Adaptor ( No need if batteries are used ) 4. The drive appears in the [My Computer] folder ( If you are connecting the camera for the first time,the required driver is installed automatically and then the drive appears in [My Computer] ) 5. Yes. There's a "Copy" option in the playback menu. It can copy all pictures from internal memory to a card, or individual pictures from a card to internal memory.
My DMC-LZ7 started having the same "please replace batteries" error a few weeks ago (bought in 2007). It only seems to happen with my NiMH rechargables, though they test as full-strength with a cheap battery tester. Alkalines don't cause the error and I haven't tried Oxyride (ZR6) batteries yet.

The camera doesn´t need a driver for use as a external drive, it permits download photos and videos, also can be use as a pen drive
If you use the camera as a usb webcam you can download the driver directly from panasonic
Hi, I'm afraid it's not possible with this camera out of the box. There *might* be some way to route video-out from the camera into your web application (if you have a video-in input in your computer), but it wouldn't be exactly easy and could prove problematic to get to work within webcam applications (msn, skype, aim, etc) Raf
