System is not detecting my transcend MP 840 (2 gb)

When i bought the ipod it was working good.The first problem encountered was my windowsxp couldnot able to recognize MTP player (ipod),but there was no problem with listening the songs i.e through ear phones.It was continued for some days.And now i cant able to listen the songs also.when i switch on my ipod it is displaying the transcend name thats it not going to next step.it is like the hang mode. PLZ solve my problem .iam waiting for ur reply

The operating system cannot detect the MP840Check the following:
1. Is your MP840 properly connected to the USB port? If not, unplug it and plug it in again.
2. Is your MP840 connected to the Mac keyboard? If yes, unplug it and plug it into an available USB port on your Mac Desktop.
3. Is the USB port enabled? If not, refer to the user's manual of your computer (or motherboard) to enable it.

Trancend 4 Gb t.sonic 840 is not show on the pc
You should download the firmware V1.2 from here:

http://www.x-drivers.com/catalog/bios_firmware/mp3-players/companies/transcend/models/t.sonic_840/7408.html

Then decompress this .zip extended file to a separate folder. Read detailed information described in the file T.sonic 840 Firmware update procedure.pdf about how to do the upgrade exactly.
Do it all step by step.

I AM UNABLE TO START THE OPERATIONS AND NO ACTIVITY COULD BE SEEN
Connect your trancsend to a PC, aftert he device is detected please select the files you will need to put into the ipod, arrange them in advance according to the requirement for the audio/ video sections. Use the sofware to convert the audio/ video files and sent them to the transcent. You can then safely remove the hardware after shutting down from the PC. Then put the ipod on and selct teh required files according to the menu.. there you are .. good luck hope this helps.. good day

I bought new ipod which i connected to pc but for hardly some time battery got charged and then now its not at all working whts the problem?
Hi..

Try to use other cable, maybe the cable are bad, witch is not working, you may plug you transcend direct to your motherboard USB port. Some of the port there are not working properly you need to plug it again if it does not work in the first try.

Memory
When you connect your device to your system, you can see a new secondary storage device (F:), like C, D drives.

Now right click on the device and defragment it.
One more option for you.
Right click and go to properties
There uncheck the allow indexing service ....
Also check the Compress drive to save disk space.

These will help you to save some more audio/video files.
