Try the procedure below. Its a hardware error on the device

One or more of the drum units or the transfer belt cleaning blade is bad. Only way to tell is to remove each drum and check the surface for the toner "streaks". You can also pull out the transfer belt and check the surface for the streaks. It will be one or the other. Now if you streaks are of a particular color then that points more to the drum of that color.
Do you have the copier feature option installed? It is most likely just a loose connection on the interface between the main printer unit and scanner section. Turn off main power (red button), and re-seat the connector.

This Code relates to color gamma error in the Yellow development. Possible causes Low toner density in the Y toner,Toner supply Y mechanism problem( not supplying enough toner),Laser exposure problem, image transfer problem. My suggestion would be to ensure you have toner in the cartridge( but by this time it has depleted the developer), and you will need to replace the development unit and possibly the drum Unit. My best guess would be the development Unit.
To my understanding since this model is a print server by itself, should you want to connect it straight to a laptop and not through a hub or router, perhaps you can try using a cross-over cat5 networking cable instead of the regular straight through.
Additionally, the IP adds of the printer and laptop should be near (192.168.15.16/printer and 192.168.15.xx/laptop).
Alternately, the printer will allow also connections by parallel, USB and bluetooth.
