Tv is yellow orange color what is problem

The model indicated does not have a "bulb" as it uses 3 picture tubes.

Examine the picture with color set at zero---stand back and look= if the screen has a mostly yellow (all or part of the screen) you have bad Glycol in the blue picture tube(if need explanation ask) and a look in the lens of the Blue tube will confirm this.

If able with back off and a small mirror look in each lens--red picture, green picture and blue picture.

If the Blue looks like a floodlight with little or no image--bad glycol in that tube.

My tv screen when on turns yellow then after a while it will switch back to normal colors what can be wrong with it....

Televisions covered: all Projection with yellow picture, but not Projection TVs with a yellowish tint surrounding objects in a nearly normal picture.

Yellow = red + green
normal picture = red + blue + green (RGB). See illustration.

12_27_2011_5_00_56_am.png

Fig. 1 Additive color mixing in an RGB monitor, or RGB Projection TV.

The circuitry powering your blue output, or the blue light engine itself is starting to fail.

Operating Theory:

The lamp module shines a bright light into the optical unit; there are a series of lens and baffles, and at the top of the light engine, a lens puts the picture into a mirror which is reflected onto the screen; All video and color is processed thru the light engine. Blue most commonly fails first, leaving a yellow picture.

Projection has yellow tint

From your description, it sounds like a problem with the blue color. Green LCD=purple onscreen, Red=cyan(baby blue) onscreen, Blue LCD=yellow onscreen. It could be a lot of dust on the blue lcd panel, or worse, might be a burned polarizer filter behind the lcd panel due to excessive heat. If you can focus on the yellow and its tons of yellow specs, its dust. A burned filter however, must be replaced. A technician trained in projectors will have to do it. The filter material is glued to a thin glass panel and is replaced as a single filter. It's a very involved repair.

DLP Colors Are Off - Picture Is Mostly Blue and Yellow

You are missing either red drive signal to CRT or you have a cold / fractured solder joint on the television. Also with the set unplugged check with a non metalic object like a ruler or a wooden spoon and start tapping around in the front or back of set and see what happens. See if you can narrow which area of the set has a problem... Good luck future technician.. Happy holidays.. Jay

Color of people's faces in movies played via DVD is now blue since connected to LCD TV

The reason the picture is blue on the DVD is because you have poor video cables running the feed, probably RCA yellow cable im guessing. Get some nice component cables for the DVD feed and it will fix you right up.
