• The factory speakers are 6x9 BUT the magnet on the factory speakers are much smaller than on aftermarket, higher quality 6X9 speaker making it almost certain the window will not roll down after installing an aftermarket 6X9.

• Most go with a 6X5 because they are a bit smaller and there is a wider variety of them. Where ever you go to purchase that speaker. make sure the measurements are taking real well if going with another 6x9. There is always the option of the factory 6x9 but a nice aftermarket will fit in there so long as you mind the size.

why/how do you think toyota charge more for a lexus than they do for a corolla,and the public are stupid enough to buy "quality"i used to work for them and you would not believe the different cost of parts out of the same boxes.
next time you change your car look at hyundai/kia,i did and am still running a sante fe,it aint got the toys but beats the lexus on all counts....

p.s has ls 300 for 4 years,changed every year..

On my 99 4 door the factory amp is powered by a hot pink wire in the truck harness. I hooked the cont. power for a motorized ant. to it and all 4 speakers work. I'm going to check today to see if they work correctly because I found this out late last night and only had it on for a few minutes. I've read that there is a harness for this that apparently you have to specifically ask for at a car audio shop. hope this helps.

yeh uhh u might wonna get the voice coil checked thats the problem with the speakers now days they dont really make them like they use to

just disconect the old speaker and the two wires you
conect too the new speakers.

could be a blown terminal on your stereo

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
