Samsung big wash noise when in use no error message or leaks

Drain Pump
To check the drain pump first see if you hear it when it is agitating if it is it is unlikely to be the drain pump. If you hear it in spin or drain cycle check the filter. Some have a small cover in the lower front put a screwdriver in the hole and turn counterclockwise to remove. There will be a cover to remove, water will come out so be prepared with a towel or wet vac. Clean this out. Other Machines will need to access the drain pump to get to the filter. This can be done by removing the back panel on some washers. On others you will need to remove the lower panel or complete front panel depending on model. The filter is located inside the large hose from the tub to the pump. Remove the hose and clean the filter. If you hear the pump making noises you will need to remove the drain pump and check for obstructions, broken impeller, or not spinning freely. Remove obstructions if it does not spin freely replace the drain pump. If you hear it hum replace the pump.

Struts/ Shocks
The struts can cause squeaking noise or vibrations. You will need to remove the back panel , top panel, or lower front panel then run machine to check if the noise is coming from the struts. If it is replace the struts

Motor
If the motor hums, rattles,or squeals replace the motor. This is easy to do. Remove the back panel then run machine to check for noises.

Belt
Check the belt for making noises by removing the rear panel and then running the machine, if it is making any noise replace the belt

Rear Bearing
To check the rear bearing remove the back panel and listen for noises or any water leakage around the bearing. If any noise is heard replace the rear bearing. Check with service manual all bearings are not repairable. The outer drum may get damaged trying to replace this bearing on some models.

Proceed according and fix it. God bless you

The pump is not working - i want to get the front off my AEG 72630 washing machine, so that i can remove the pump and clean it- how do i do this?

To remove the front panel, you first need to remove the Top COver / Worktop. It is fastened at the back. Remove or unclip it at the back and push it back and lift the Top off. After which, you will be able to remove all side panels and front panel.

Hope it helps :-)

When i start the Bosch WTE84107GB/02 is showing filter.

Having spent two nights trying to resolve the same issue with ours and having searched the internet for help. I would check the following,

Check lower filter and ensure its all clear.

Remove the back of the machine, the pear shaped steel cover part, held on by 10-12 torx/star bolts. Once removed you should see two sensor, one has a red reset button, press the centre and if it clicks you've reset it. Now you could be lucky and just refit the back and it will work o.k but the likelyhood from my experience is that the senors tripped out due to an overheating situation occuring. If it trips out after the reset, remove the cover again, the two sensors are mounted in what is the heater element. I removed this unit but to allow access you need to remove the lower steel duct below the heater element unit, held on my 4 torx/star bolts. Once the ducts removed you can remove the two torx/star bolts that hold the heater unit in position. Once the heater unit is removed, blow out any dust and dirt from the heater coils. With the heater unit removed you can see both the sensors from inside the heater element housing and both mine were caked in dirt so i cleaned the surfaces with a soft cloth and a drop of WD40 (not to much just enough to remove the dirt).

The next part of the machine i'd check is the air intake side. There's a grill area and the right lower side of the dryer to the right of the lower filter housing. Now you can probably remove this grill by resting the machine on it's side and releasing the clips from the underside of the machine but I took off the right hand side panel of the machine, you'll need to remove the top (two screws at the back of the machine slide back and lift off), then you need to remove the control panel, remove the water tank, and then remove the two screws on the left side, on the right side and on the right had side of the control panel, there's one screw, remove this and pully forward gently. You can then access the right side panel forward screws x 2, remove the rear screws, top screws and there one on the underside in the middle. The side panel pulls away backwards away for the front of the machine as it has three locating pegs at the front. Once the panels removed you'll no dout find the area around the motor and drive belt is covered in fluff, just hoover out. with the side panel remove you'll notice the motor unit drives two fans, one you'd have seen when you removed the rear cover and on my machine that was all clear, but the other fan is towards the front of the machine and is covered by a semi circular white plastic cover, which has 4 release clips on the outer egde and one at the rear towards the middle at the motor end and one at the front close to the middle and you won't get you hand into this, you need to release the clip form the underside of base of the machine.Once all clips are removed you can remove the cover, but it's a tight fit but it does come out. Once removed you'll see the fan unit, it's like a hamster wheel and on my machine this was fully choked up with fluff in the middle and in between the fan blades and this is what was stopping air circulation and hence why the machine overheated and cut out. You can hoover out the fan and in the intake system and refit in reverse order, making sure you get the screws back in the right order.

Whilst you have the machine half apart, Once you've refitted the right hand side panel and before you refit the front control panel i'd remove the left hand panel, hoover out. At the bottom left side you'll see the pump unit. There's two pipes going to it, remove the cover retaining screws and remove the cover. Remove both pipes and the two electrical sensors (ones pump and ones the float level senor) Once removed, clean the float sensor and pump you can remove the end cover off the pump and you can also remove the float from the cylinder housing ), remove the filter unit/heat exchanger and clean any sludge etc from inside the pump sump area. Refit

We found that on completion of this the machine was a lot more efficient and made less noise and it's nearly 11 years old so it owes us nothing !!

How do I access the pump?

It's not easy but you need to remove rthe front panel the Drain Pump is on the right side in the back. Poor design for access. Here is a pic if FIXYA will let me post.

What is the issue? ND error on pump out? Do you have the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service manual? I feel you will need to work on the machine. If so you can't get it from Servicematters, com anymore.........Rich

Will not spin out all the water from clothes

The pump could get foreign materials in it. This can cause all sorts of problems. This repair manual will show how to access. Page 75 says to tip back the machine and remove 4 screws after removing other items.

We washed a small rug and we got an E-20 code. what should we do, its having problems draining!

Drain pump screen is clogged. If its makeing a bad grinding sound the pump will need to be replaced. Otherwise disasembly of the machine is required to access pump area to clean out screen. Dextrous people can probaly do this from the back or underneath unit. Its difficult and I don't recomend it to beginers or people who arn't handy. Easiest/prefered method: (This is the one I use.)

Method A units that have a bottom access panel. ie: front panel not one seamless peice.

-unplug unit
-lean back against wall for easy access.
-remove two #2 square screws form access panel.
-Loosen clamp holding hose to tub. (Big black one around 2" in diameter.)
-remove and clean screen.
-reassemble machine and test pump operation.

Method B units the have seamless front panel.

-unplug unit
-remove top. 3 screws @ back, slide top away from machine to remove.
-remove 2 screws holding console onto chasis.
-remove disp
-remove 3 screws @ and behind disp area.
-Remove console. ( tab may be holding to front panel @ middle bottom use putty knife to pry up.)
-remove 4 screws holding front pannel @ top to chasis.
-remove 2 screws holding frong pannel to chasis inside machine. Acess from top. (some models only.)
-remove bottom screws either 4 or 2 usally 4.
-remove two screws holding door lock to front panel
-remove spring from around bellow.
-remove bellow from front pannel
-remove front pannel. Tilts forward and lifts up off supports. (some models only.) or pannel ifs up and off from white tabs in side of chasis.
-unhook wires to door lock from front pannel. (plastic molex tab)
-may now access pump like in method A.

Pump Replacement
-access pump area
-remove drain hose to pump by looseing clamp and pulling off.
-remove hose to tub by losseing clamp and pulling off.
-remove power connection at back left of pump.
-unscrew two philips screws holding pump too base plate. (only one is really required.)
-replace pump
-clean pump screen or add one if not present.
-reconnect hoses.
-replug in power
-reassemble machine
-test pump operation

Disconnect the pump hose at the drum end, disconnect the hose from the soap dispenser, note that wiring is fastened to the drum at several points and will need to be disconnected. Remove panel from behind control board then carefully move everything away from the front of the machine, the drum can now be lifted clear.
