I have the KDFE42A10 and it is two years old I started having the same problem as you. I would turn on the TV and after the minute of blinking green LED I would get sound and no video. It started out taking 5 minutes to come on and is now up to about 30 minutes. I did call for service and the first people scratched their head and said it must be the bulb. So since the bulb wasn't covered I had to buy that ($200), I put it in and no go so I called for service again and said don't send the same people again. This time when he came he said right away it's not the bulb and never was and he called Sony since he had no idea and their suggestion was the B Block so it's now on order and should be in a couple weeks. After the first person came to service it and said it was the bulb I called sony second level help and they said it wasn't the bulb and if it was I the first person to have this problem and be the bulb. They told me to call Sony service back and tell them to have another company come and service it since the first one diagnosed it incorrect. So I did and Sony service told me they the people that they have service for them are highly qualified and they would not send another service call on it until I replaced the $200 bulb. The told me if I wanted to pay to have it service by someone else that was up to me but as far as they were concerned they serviced it and determined it was the bulb (which it wasn't) I would never buy another Sony product after this deal. On another note the last two service calls only took about two weeks to get some one out on it. The speed of Sony service is very slow.

Apex TV. It turns on. Have sound. Why no picture?

  3. Make sure that the TV is set to the correct input.
  4. If the TV screen still remains dark unplug your TV and push the power button for about one minute and then plug it back in. See if that resets your TV. If it still remains dark use a flashlight and angle it against the screen with the TV at a station where you can hear the sound See if you can make out shadows or shapes

My Transonic 42" tv model SRO8118 when I turn it on I only hear the sound but no pictures on screen it only black and sounds from it.

Try a few simple things first to try and fix your TV before replacing parts...
1 - Unplug TV overnight. Plug back in and SOMETIMES it may work and fix your issue.
2 - Unplugging the TV and everything hooked to it, then plugging it back in may clear the problem.
3 - Be sure the TV is set to the correct input. If it is set to DVI or Component input when it should be in the HDMI input this will cause issues

On my wii the sound is working (i can hear it) but there is no picture please help me and i am sure that it is on the right component and everything plugged in place at least i think

the yellow cable is video. red and white are sound. if you do not get a picture when connected to the correct input, the cable may be faulty. try just the yellow inputs one at a time to see if it is in wrong port. Good Luck.

No signal from Diamond VC500 Capture Device

I have a similar problem. Sometimes it works fine, but it will often have sound but no picture in the box. Other times, there is no input signal showing when I click on the gear wheel to adjust settings. There is no rhyme or reason to the missing picture. Whe I play it back, I do have the picture - usually.
