For your TV the power light will be red when the TV is turned off using the power button on the top of the TV. Press the power button on top of the TV if that does not work then try turning the power off at the power switch on the bottom of the TV then turn it back on after a minute ior so and see if you can turn it on using the power button.

I had the same problem with my 55 inch Samsung TV (blinking red standby light and a clicking sound when the TV was turned on, TV would not come on). After checking components on the power supply board I found that the five 33 ohm (orange-orange-black) resistors and changed value. Each resistor measured approximately 3.6 ohms.
I replaced all five resistors. Now the TV works.

The power light keeps flashing and the tv won't turn on. If you unplug for a minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic 1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old.

1. Turn TV on
2. Press TV key on remote.
3, Press and Hold magic button until red light blinks twice, it will blink once and then twice.
4. enter 991 red light will blink twice
5. Hit the power button
6. Aim the remote at the TV and press the channel plus button until the TV turns off.
7. Hit the magic button as soon as the TV turns off to store the code.

tv wont turn on when i hit power it makes the clicking noise like it is going to turn on, but never does and the red timer light next to the power button just flashes.

same problem. TV turns on but no picture or sound. when i press power button on the remote control orange light flashes for about a minute and goes back to red.
TV won't turn on. It iz frustating me a lot ay !
