Likely a filter capacitor in power supply is failing if it has started doing this. SOMETIMES devices have a very small amount of hum normally. Also sometimes unbalanced instrument cables can pick up hum.

WHEN I STRIKE THE BASS DRUM, THE CRASH CYMBAL SOUNDS AT THE SAME TIME....EVEN WHEN NO CYMBAL IS CONNECTED TO THE INPUT JACK.

If you leave an input open they MAY cross couple... try plugging a set of headphones into the cymbal input jack... this will ground the cymbal input... then see if you still get the cymbal sound... IF you STILL get the sound, then the multiplexor that scans the input has a problem and you need to take it for repair. Repair on the surface mount boards is not a DIY without proper tools and skills. If the grounding stops the cross coupling, then you MAY have a problem with the cymbal or its cable.

Yes you can my friend. You can even have up to four more I believe. Please read here that everything is easy to understand:

Put wrong power adapter into a Yamaha DTXPRESS IV

You should immediately quarantine what you plugged in and compare it to the correct one.

IF you put too low aq voltage of the CORRECT polarity nothing should have happened.

If you put backwards polarity of any voltage the regulator is probably fried internally and possibly an input bypass cap. Also if you put an AC adapter and it wants a DC the same destruction could happen.

if you put too high a voltage, possibly the power input cap may be bad.

It appears that the correct supply is the PA3C which is a 12 volt, 700ma with positive on the center pin.

Sampling into yamaha dtxpress iv

If you have a sampler, you could midi out of the DTX brain into the midi in of the sampler to trigger the sounds. If not ,try downloading KORE2 from Native Instruments onto your computer and triggering it using the above mentioned method . Midi out from your brain to Midi in on your computer. Hope this helps.

Recorded midi, output set to dtxpress channel 10 no sounds is gen

You have to discover the receive channel for the dtxpress. Try downloading Midiox which is a freeware app that actively displays everything that is happening midiwise in real time.

I want to connect my YAMAHA DTXPRESS IV SPECIAL to my PC

Any pro-audio interface with a midi input would do the trick. There are numerous products out there that offer this. You can get a simple usb midi interface, and connect the Yamaha up with a midi cable running from the midi out of the drum module to the nidi in of the interface.

one of the simpler ones:...

DTXPRESS IV SPECIAL changing cymbal(crash) sounds?

hi,
the right crash is a '3 zone pad' (notice the semi-circular groove around the front edge of the pad).

this means you should get a different sound from the bell, the main area of the pad, and the front edge.

In order to mimic a real crash cymbal, the 'crash' sound comes from hitting the edge of the pad.

In reality, there are ribbon switches (like mobile phone keypads) underneath the bell & edge areas of the pad that detect hits to these areas.
