Disconnect the washer from the power source. Use a putty knife blade to release the locks of the top panel. Insert the putty knife blade in the seam between the top panel and the front panel about 2 3/4" from the edges. Push until the locks are released and lift the top panel.

Open the door and remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the door opening. Remove the 2 screws from the upper side of the front panel and pull the front panel out. Disconnect the door switch connector and remove the front panel completely.

I want to clean the inside of my DLG0452W. Hasn't been done in 10-11 years. This is all part of venting. It properly. Can I take the bottom panel off?

i looked up your model and it looks like you haave to remove the top panel and then the front panel to get to the inside cabinet,if on the front you do have an access panel on the bottom then yes you want to remove the bottom front panel, pull out the lint filter, remove the duct that the lint filter slides into and clean that, then with a shop vac vac out the cabinet, then set the shop vac up to blow and blow all the lint from the back forwards and blow off the motor, this way you don't have to pull the belt and drum.when that's done go to the back and remove the vent line from the dryer,if it's a long run to the outside,go outside and make sure the duct is open,no cage or screen blocking it,go back inside, stick a leaf blower into the vent line and blow it out.do this once a year and your dryer will run better and last longer but mostly you won't have a fire.hope this helps.

It's A circuit breaker located on the out side of the burner at the 7 o'clock position. You need to remove the front panel to get to it. Unplug the dryer before doing this.

How do I get the back of a LG Dryer DLG0452W off?

You cannot get the back off. You work from the front.
Remove the top first by getting the rear screws off then remove the controls and top front brace then remove the drum glide then the take the belt loose and lift out the drum. You will now be able to examine the motor.

What is the trick to getting off the front and top panel of the dryer to inspect the gas igniter?

get a 2 or 4 inch tapers knife. where the top of the unit meets the front there's a seam place the knife about one inch from the end of each side. You'll feel the latch, push in with the knife and pull up on the top it will release (one side at a time). Then remove the two screws that you'll see at the left and right. Then open the door and remove the two screws below the lint trap. Remove the electric connector on the front cover and lift.Check the circuit breaker located on the outside of the burner chamber (about the 7 o'clock position). Make sure that the unit is unplugged. The reset is between two wires push in gently. then clean out the lint with a vacuum. I though my igniter was bad but this was the problem.

My dryer is only blowing cold air and not drying

Probably either the igniter or the gas valve.  They are both located in the front on the lower right.  You will need to remove the top of the machine and the face to get to them.  Take the switch out of the door, tape it so it thinks the dryer is shut and plug it back in.  The igniter needs to let a certain amount of current through to open the gas valve.  The easiest way to check it is to run the dryer and see how bright it glows. If it's not almost white replace it.  If it doesn't glow at all check to see if it is getting power.  If it isn't you will need to get someone to look at the control board.  If you recently moved make sure your gas pressure going to the dryer is correct.  If the pressure is too high it will keep the valve from opening.

LG DRYER DLE2532W DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

DLE2532W is an electric heat model. (a gas model would be a DLG......) To get a rear control LG dryer apart: Open door and remove two phillips head screws at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions. Use a putty knife to release the clips holding the top panel to the dryer front by pushing the clips in at the seam of the dryer top and front, a couple inches in from each side. Swing top back. Remove two phillips head screws at the top, allowing front panel to pull forward. Unplug drum light and door switch and drum sensor plugs, allowing front panel to be completely removed and set aside. Now, look at the burner area at the lower right. Behind the gas valve you will find a small (about dime sized) high limit thermostat on the left side of the burner cone. It has two wires attached and has a small pin in the center of it. (Only on gas models) Push the pin in.
Now, if that get's you ignition again, CORRECT VENTING ! Get rid of flexible vent material. (use only rigid aluminum vent pipe and elbows) Clean out vent pipes and outside vent hood. Outside vent hood should be the kind with a four inch flap for the opening, not a two inch flap. Tripping of the high limit thermo is almost always caused by inadequate air flow.
