Yamaha psr 295

Hi, This is probably due to worn rubber contacts. The sound is switched by pressing a key which in turns press a carbon contact on the PCB under the key. In time these wear out and need to be replaced.

Firstly open up the keyboard and locate the rubber contacts, check to see if each one is seated squarely, if they are not seat straight then this can create the problem you mention.

If all are OK then you will need to replace the strip which is causing a problem.

Spares are available from many sources including :

I would like to know which transformer I can use with the Yamaha PSR 260? How many AMP's? Volts I know are 10-12.

You should be using the Yamaha PA-3B adapter. The unit draws 9 watts... so at 10 volts a 1 amp adapter would be great. Make sure the polarity is correct.

Some keys do not produ any sound. Psr 2000

Dirty key contacts. They are conductive rubber pills that are pressed against circuit board traces. Clean ONLY with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q tips gently. Here is a service manual link:

Scroll down to "get manual" and click on it to download. Ignore other downlooad links.

Am looking for a power supply board for yamaha keyboard

Normally if the board is there, I repair failed components. If the board is missing, call Yamaha America parts dept. They MAY have the part you need. That will be the only source of a complete replacement. Power supply boards are usually easily repaired.

The keys are broken and some at no sound can I order the notes and sound kit. Yamaha PSR-295 . Regards Elias

Hi, i think you can. You can go to any of the Yamaha companies around you area and explain to them the problem of the keyboard. They will give you good and quality replacement part for your Keyboard.

Make sure you go to only Yamaha company to avoid getting a wrong part for your Keyboard.Avoid road siderepairsforissue like this,it's more complicated to handle

I guess that will do.

Thanks for using fixya...

Yamaha PSR 75

You have to completely remove the circuit boards. If this is the keyboard I'm thinking of then the keys are all mounted on the same part like parts on the sprue in a model airplane kit. If its a different one then you have to remove the assembly and take the spring of the key you want and at the other end when you flip it over there is a strip glued on the metal frame to secure the keys that you have to peel off for that sector.
