OE error code indicates that the washer is unable to drain the water it used during the wash cycle. OE can be triggered by a kinked drain hose or a clogged drain pump filter..... please clean drain hose back side of washing machine.. Thank you
There may be a few different reasons why the OE error code can display on your washing machine. Is it the LG washer getting the OE error code? The OE error code on the LG washing machine display is an indication of a NO DRAIN issue. The 3 issues that may cause this fault code is a bent drain hose, the drain pump filter is blocked, or the drain pump may have foreign objects lodged in it making it unable to drain. All these issues can cause your LG washer to display the error code OE. With all these different reasons, checking all 3 components will clear the error and fix your LG washing machine.
OE on the LG means the washer is not draining or has a draining issue. When it happened to me I started by manually draining the washer and then running a spin cycle. In a pinch the work around was OK but I could never be certain the wash was complete. Also the wife hated it.
Finally, I dug in and went for a fix. All the hoses were clear and the pump seemed to be working (also the pump screen needed clearing). I found the problem to be a breather hose that runs from the top of the drum to one of the drain hoses. It was plugged and I took it off and blew it out. Problem solved.
OE - drain error - 5 minute time out drain time error. check your pump/filter for blockages. Clean out the trap from the bottom, something is jamming the drain motor.
The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

Clean and straighten the drain hose / clean the drain filter.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..
Replace the water pump. Because the water can not pump out, the machine idles for a while then stops with the error code OE. The technician said, the drain hose should be hang high before curse down to the drainage so air can not go to the hose.
I removed the top panel of washer(4 screws and slide). Then found the small 1/4" hose that goes from drum to drain hose to be pluged with goo. I cleaned inside of hose and washer worked fine.
