The toilet seat hinges are loosening. I can't find any location that would indicate where to tighten a bolt or other connector...and I'm afraid that if I try to pry up the hinges they will break. How can I tighten them again?
Most generic seats have a thin plastic cap that snaps in place over the bolt heads just behind the seat. Normally they hinge backwards so carefully pop them open with a flat blade screwdriver. Sometimes you can tighten the bolts from underneath even.
I have the same problem with the loose toilet seat. For my Neptune FB1621 Murano Toilet.
The generic description above doesn't apply. What I can't find is a contact number or website for this toilet. If anyone has this it might be helpful.
I have the same problem and can't find any tech support. I wonder if the company still exists?
Ok here's the solution. The bolts are accessible from underneath. You need to remove the circular panels on both sides (assuming both need tightening). They can be unscrewed if you reach around from the very back. Once you have access to the circle on the side, you can reach up and tighten the bolts. Good luck.
