Kenmore Mod 110 24632300 won't drain

I have a Kenmore Mod 110 24632300. The Washer fills and washes, but will not drain. It makes a sound as if it is attempting to pump water out, but nothing happens. I have siphoned water out and am eager to begin attempting to repair and seeking advice. Thank you.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110+24632300

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

I'm assuming that it will spin.

See the section for the Pump, Motor and gearcase and the basket and tub assembly's

I'd pull the cabinet in order to get to the hoses going to and from the pump first.

See the following:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131

If the hoses are fine, check the shaft from the motor to the pump and check inside the pump to make sure the inlet and outlet aren't blocked.

As an aside, see the following Whirlpool Service Manual for top load direct drive washers.

My kenmore 29822800 won't fill with water, it works on spin and drain

The last time I moved, my washer/dryer combo (Frigidaire) had the same issue for approximately 7 months before finding out all I needed to do was level the washer, and of course, make sure the faucet connected to the washer is turned to on position. Hope this is helpful.

Kenmore washer 90 series continue to fill w/water. Load size won't stop the fill... had to shut off water source. won't get to agitate phase... just want to stay at fill stage... can drain, spin,...

Sounds like the fill switch needs to be replaced. A good way to test it is to set your machine on low fill and see if it fills past 3/4. If it does, it's the fill switch.

Kenmore washer mod.11023822100 fills with water drains water will not wash or spin

Your washing machine has a transmission and a electronic clutch your clutch is bad it is not engaging to let the motor turn your transmission. Please go to Sears Parts Store near you and ask them for a clutch for your kenmore washer model# 11023822100. Then tell them to print you out a diagram to show you how to replace it. Thanks

Washer won't spin or agitate

hi, Does the water drain out in the spin cycle? Sounds like the coupler might be bad. Is this a top load machine? Asking questions so I can be clear and give you better info on your question.
Please let me know.

Thanks
Vic

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!
