sounds like you have receiver connection problem..

To test it try to play dvd on your TV..if the picture is fine your TV is good..your problem is on the cable box or receiver..

If its 10 years old boards and or parts will likely not be available--average life on Plasma and LCD sets is 3-5 years.

I would retire it--recycle it and buy a new set.

Hi, I have a Sony Grand Wega LCD Projection TV that has a blotted gray streak across the front of the screen. I only use a damp cloth to clean the window and that doesn't seem to help.
