Jamo dvr 50 buzzing/crackle from speakers after repair

My jamo dvr 50 had died so I changed the capacitors as suggested yesterday and watched a movie with full sourround, - great.

Now this morning when powering up the system there is a crackle/buzzing noise from the speakers when nothing is playing. Also when switching inputs it crackles quite a bit.

Any suggestions ?
If I need a new "motherboard" where can I get that ?

Guess it would be cheaper to buy the DVR-60 , og DVR-70. I recall having seen good publicity on the dvr-60, but guess it would be hard to get your hands on that one. I have found the dvr-70 at the price of aprox. 200£. If you change the "motherboard", it will probebly brake down again, en just as expencive. I believe the cabinet is overheating do to lack of aircirculation, when you open it, there is no dust to be found at all...

Power led on but no output

Try to trace the fault systematically from one end of the system to another, starting with something that you know is working
  1. Start by checking your sound source (cd player or whatever) is working by connecting it to another amplifier or computer.
  2. Check the connecting cable is working from the sound source to the amp and is not shorted out.
  3. Make sure your loud speakers actually work (briefly shorting a 1.5 volt AAA battery across the speaker terminals should produce a crackling sound without doing any damage)
  4. Check loudspeaker cables are properly connected to output connectors and are making a good contact.
  5. Try connecting something like your computer speakers (or use the microphone in jack on the computer itself) to the line output socket of the Jamo. If you can get some sound this way it would suggest that the internal output overload protection fuse may have blown. You will need to open the case to access this. NOTE if your JAMO is still in warranty take to authorised repairer otherwise you may invalidate your warranty.

I am about to give it a go, I have a dvr 50, and my friend has got one aswell, and it is my belives the powersuply is creating all the noise, and your problem will probably only become worse.

Jamo DVR 50 Frozen?... Solutions?

I have the same frozen problem vith Jamo DRV-50.
But I found this:

www.leifline.com/reptips/DVD_DVD-VIDEO/DVD.htm

Its a swedish site for electronic repearments, Jamo DVR-50 have problems with heat also and capacitors in the power suply unit goes burned. So the instructions are:

1.Simptoms:Various strange error

2.Solution: Replace the capacitors in the power supply, especially C30 470μF/ 10V, C31 2200μF/ 10V and C16 1000μF/ 10V.

My service guy already told me that some electrical parts in the power supply unit are burned, he replace them and succeded to powerOn the unit but still jamo have problems staying powered on and now im going to tell him to replace those capacitors C30, C31 and C16, and i hope this will work.
