My tag professional ticks over every 4

If its a quatz movement - could it be that your battery needs replacing? This is a feature of my Tag 6000 so I assume yours is the same.

The 4 second ticking indicates the battery is in need of replacing.

A professional watchmaker can properly replace the battery for you.

It may be that the battery is getting near the end of its life.

This is END OF BATTERY LIFE warning. Replace the battery and everything will be fine. Rate me plz.

Try the following, which I discovered by accident on my Tag Professional. Pull the crown out to the first position, and then you may find that successive pushes of the upper pushbutton will move one of the chrono hands by one division, and the lower pushbutton will move a different chrono hand. Similarly if you pull the crown out to the second position, the pushbuttons will control the other chrono hands. In this way you can set each of the chrono hands to their zero positions. Your band may be too loose. This is the model that moves when worn correct?

Your TAG is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature. This is the cause of that 4 seconds interval movement of seconds hand and thus indicating the time for battery replacement. The timekeeping is not affected by this- it is just warning to replace battery a.s.a.p.
Find your nearest watchmaker and ask for battery replacement.

Yes it's the battery. Please make sure to take it to someone QUALIFIED This watch requires that all the gaskets be replaced and pressure tested at the time you have the battery replaced

Don't whatever you do allow the watch to be sent to Tag, as they are very likely to state that the watch needs a service at a cost of £125 after having your watch for 8 weeks (they charge £40 for a new battery which is bad enough) . This they do all the time and seems a bit if a scam. They state that the internals need cleaning by their specialists. Lets just think about this. A hermetically sealed watch to 200 meters has got dirty inside! They said this to me and so I asked for the watch back. They had removed the back of the watch, so I had a look inside and in the intervening weeks the run down battery had corroded. Luckily the terminals are gold and resistant, so I replaced the insulating disk which had corroded with a disc of thin plastic from a water bottle label and bought a battery for £1.36 and all has been dandy ever since. If you are concerned to do the same, an independent watch specialist will change the battery and repressurise for between £25-35
