Try resetting the TV by unplugging everything, and wait 3 minutes, then plug in the power lead only, and turn it on.

Ur video backlight board is dead,not get power to the board to get picture,must replaced the backlight video board.

Another prob.u could have.
U have tv show sound,but no picture?

Replace the proscan module BP95-0007A Call Encompass Electronics for price 1-800-638-3328 or look for one one E-Bay Thats if TV comes on plays then starts shuting off/on If not replace power supply board.BP96-

Stop trying to turn on the set. You are causing more damage. The hissing sound you are hearing is either a High Voltage Transformer on the SMPS (Switched Mode Power Supply) indicating a short somewhere in the set or some capicitors that have shorted out. Also there can be a CRT that is leaking cooling fluid onto the Main bd or the Power/Deflection bd or both bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

Your chips are most likely bad or you bridged the soldering.

• Colors wont align
• Video may look distorted

Problem #2 CRT Fluid has clouded over. Symtoms

• Dull looking video
• White looking video

Sounds like a shorted component in the power supply or the high voltage circuit.

When the screen goes blank, hit any remote function that will show up on the screen-like volume bar. If the display is missing as well, then you have a tv problem. If the volume display is there when the tv picture is not, you may require a software upgrade.
