Thin red vertical line on sanyo lcd-37xr1

I turned my tv on and there is a thin red vertical line in the centre of the screen. I have turned the tv off but the line still remains.

Seems a same problem with my Philips 42PFL7403D - got a red dotted vertical line 1 pixel wide in the middle of the screen.

Sounds like your display panel is going out. Has the tv been droped, or hit by anything? You should call your customer service number to confirm.

It sounds that the connections between T'Con board and panel have some loose contact. Re-seat all the flat cables and check. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. You can also click the [Home] tab to the latest updates. It will make search easy. There are more than 1300 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

My Sanyo tv has a white screen with blue and red vertical lines down it.

Thats usually caused by the T conn board which is replaceable www.tvrepairworld.com should be able to assist with the diagnosis and replacement parts.

More than likely your control board. Available at www.partstore.com Cost could be between $130 and $200. Not that complicated to install if you can use a screwdriver and are careful. Let me know how this works out.

There is a vertical red line that runs down the screen on our Sanyo TV. It is just a thin line but it is annoying because you know it is there. Any suggestions?

thin lines are associated with the connection of the pixels on the screen in the grid. If its under warranty get it fixed before expiry as its not a cheap fix.
Red lines are not convergence problems they are component problems so you cant adjust it out
