Akai LCT 2662 will not turn on

I have an Akai LCT 2662 and when I plug it nothing happens, nothing turns on. I took it to the repair shop and they told me the power supply is dead and there is nothing they can do. What should/can I do?

I'm surprise to see the repair shop telling you there nothing they can do.
The power supply can be fix if you take the time to troubleshoot it. However this is not a DIY project.
The failure is in the capacitors that are bulging out of the top or bottom. Quite visibly defective.
