How can I fix the revers problem in automatic Freightliner Truck year 2000, Century Model, Automatic transmission, Detroit Engine. Because the computer desactive the REVERS mode and put the NEUTRAL mode in the transmission of the Truck. The Revers mode ''apparently'' is active just only for 2 seconds, the Truck begin to move back, and then the computer active the Neutral mode and the transmission stop the revers mode. Anybody have any Idea if the problem is Mechanical or Electronic Or somebody Know How can I fix this problem ?

I have a possible solution, try and maybe will be fixed: Go back to the Truck and check the wirings, connectors and lights of the rear on the Truck (stop lights and backing lights), maybe.... if you have a false connection and the lights are no working correctly, the computer of the Truck detect this problem and send the signal to not Revers the truck because the back lights are no working. The other possible solution can be...., reset the code faults of the computer, running the program from freightliner or following the steps: turn on the Key (not turn on the engine) for 5 seconds, then turn off the key, wait another 5 sec., repetly the steps 6 times and (supostly) the computer will turn of the faults code in the program. more information you can find in internet for this particulary problem with the revers mode.

1992 freightliner with Detroit engine using excessive fuel just started in last 2 wks have changed 2 of the sensors does not smoke except when it is first started also draws more fuel from one tank than the other
