I was putting a screw into some metal on the inside door panel of a truck, and I heard a pop. I think I saw a spark, but it happened so fast. This was a brand new drill, and now its just dead in the water. Is there anykind of relay or switch that could of thrown, or am i screwed? I have owned my previous dewalt for years and years, and never had this happen. Kinda confused.

I am thinking the switch or motor is bad, check the switch first. you can locate parts at dewaltservicenet.com. Make a wiring diagram before removing anything, these parts are polarity sensitive.
check the inside of the chuck at the bottom(open the chuck to max). There should be small screw there with either a hex or a Phillips head. It is a left hand screw that locks the chuck in place and will not let it unscrew when you are removing parts.. If it is not there then you will have to get one from an old drill that is junk unless you can get one from an electrical appliance shop the repairs drills.
If there is no screw inside the chuck you have to take the drill to a Dewalt service center and have them remove it. It takes a special jig to remove it and I don't think you want to spend over $200 to remove one chuck. Do not try to use the taper-fit tool on a cordless drill, they do not use the taper fit chucks.
i cant say 100% sure for that drill but im betting its not.
it probably has red loctite on it which is very tough to break free. put some heat to it. then it will come easily
yeah you have a bad chuck. there is a screw inside the receiver of the chuck if you remove this screw the chuck will come off. Reverse this procedure to re install the new chuck.
