Use a thin but strong piece of card board (such as the back of a standard yellow pad notebook) and easily force feed it through machine. I had to use this method with our Canon Pixma MP190 printer. Hope this helps, Good luck!!

Canon ir2520 jamming in the exit tray

If your Canon IR2520 is jamming in the exit tray after initializing the machine, it could be caused by a few different issues:
  • Paper tray: Make sure that the paper tray is loaded correctly and that the paper is not jammed or loaded incorrectly. Also, check if the paper tray is not overfilled or if the paper is not wrinkled.
  • Pick-up roller: The pick-up roller is responsible for picking up paper from the tray and feed it to the printer. Check if it is dirty or worn out.
  • Exit guide: The exit guide is responsible for directing the paper out of the machine. Make sure that it is not blocked or bent, which could cause the paper to jam.
  • Fuser: The fuser unit could be malfunctioning. The fuser is responsible for heating and fusing the toner to the paper. If it is not working properly, it could cause paper jams.
  • Feed rollers: The feed rollers are responsible for feeding the paper through the printer. Check if they are dirty or worn out.
  • Paper jam sensor: The paper jam sensor may be malfunctioning. If the sensor is not working correctly, it may not detect a jam and the printer will continue to try to feed paper through.
  • It is recommended to check the copier's manual or consult with the manufacturer's technical support to troubleshoot the problem. They may provide more specific instructions for your specific model and can guide you through the process of finding and fixing the problem.
These are general suggestions and your specific case may require different actions.

Cannon pc 921 won't feed paper from tray or bypass, shows P for out of paper but tray is full I can't find any jam

Try cleaning the feed roller using ammonia solution. The sizing used in the manufacturing of paper has waxy substances that accumulate in the pores of the rubber rollers and reduce the friction on the feed roller..

Paper jam from paper drawer

Has the copier ever been cleaned, professsionally? If not, you may need a feed roller.

Unplug the copier. Prepare a dry cloth dampened with WD 40. Take out the paper tray.

Pull down the door on the right side of the copier. You will see a single, fat, gray or black rubber roller. Take the WD 40 cloth and wipe down the roller, turning it in the direction that the paper comes out the machine. Close door and install the paper tray. Let the copier stand for ten minutes.

Plug copier in and try a copy. If it feeds the paper, you need a new feed roller. If it doesn't then remove the paper tray and shoul there be skid marks on the paper then for sure you need a feed roller. If the paper continues to feed hooray, but when it stops feeding you definitely need a feed roller.

This requires a service call unless you have some experience with copiers. Likely this puppy needs a thorough cleaning.

I have a Canon PC 980 B&W copier. When I try to print, the "P" (no paper) light comes on, even thoug the paper tray is full.n

YOur problem is likely worn feed rubber. It is an old machine. Has it ever been serviced?
Did this happen after a paper jam?
Try this: UNPLUG the copier Take out the paper tray. Prepare a dry cloth that is dampened with WD 40. Open the door on the right side of the coper. You should see 1 large, gray or black rubber roller. Gently wipe the roller with the WD 40 cloth, slowly turning the roller. It only turns 1 way, towards the exit direction of the paper from the copier.

Let the WD 40 soak in, about 10 minutes. Put the paper tray back in, plug the copier back in and try to make a copy. If it makes a copy, the feed roller needs replaced, If it doesn't make a copy, check the top sheet of paper in the tray. If you see skid marks, you definitely need a feed roller. No, they are not easy to change.

As long as the roller feeds, go for it. When it starts slipping then you'll have to do something about that feed roller.

Paper will not feed from drawer

Pull the paper tray out of the machine. On the right side underneath you should see a rubber paper feed roller. Clean this off with a slightly damp cloth until it is "squeaky clean". Also, look about to be sure there is nothing blocking the paper path. Sometimes paper gets torn off and left in the machine when clearing a jam.

Canon PC920 paper feed "clacking" & not working.

check the tray and make sure the guides are set correctly, clacking sound is usually because the tray is set for Legal and has Letter, the paper is towards the bac of the tray and the pick up assembly is making the noise,
otherwise the tray is either not going up (broken gear, )
