Texting Problem on V3 Razr!

Whenever I try to send a text message, the format changes from SMS to MMS, and whenever the other person receives it, it doesn't contain anything and fails to download anyway. It's my phone for sure, because everyone I've texted can receive SMS messages from each other. Please help me!

outbound texts switch to picture mode rather than text mode. no one can read them. help please!

SOURCE: cannot receive messages

If your phone is a prepaid service and it has run out of credit at sometime recently this may be what is causing the trouble.
these services get stopped when there is no credit and are supposed to automatically turn on when credit is reapplied but sometimes it only half turns on so double check with your supplier that you are actually live to recieve messages

this is somethng you will need to contact your cell provider about they re the ones to fix this

Which messaging App are you using as your default SMS app? also, Is the person that is trying to share the image, sending it via MMS? as that is the text message format that allows attaching and sending pictures.

Can't send a Text Msg on my Razor

go to create message then select the format:

New Short Message
New MMS Message
MMS Templates
Send to online album.

Start with the first option,then you do a little more exploring with the different formats.

Hi dude,
I m sorry. U lack knowledge regarding about SMS/MMS.
SMS=short messaging. It is only for text messages.
Similarly, MMS=multimedia messaging. It is for sending text with animations or photos, video clips, etc.
U need to have MMS connection in ur mobile to send text with animations.

Texts to multiple recipients automatically become MMS format!!!

I just had the same problem and spoke to an AT&T rep, it seems when the in/outbox is too full it defaults to sending multimedia messages, so go ahead and delete all your stored messages and see how that works, it worked for me.

Text Messages send as multimedia messages, and don't go through

go into message center then press the menu button, scroll to message setup n then press select. scroll to reply type n be sure it says 'sms' if not change it to sms.

MMS is default for messages

I had this problem develop for my Razr V3xx, but after emptying out all my messages in my inbox, outbox, and drafts, it returned to a normal text message format. Hope it works for you as well.
