If you look at page 16 of the user manual it tells you how to assign the devices to the optical connections. Once this is done it should work.
If you don't have the manual just type "denon avr 2802 manual" into Google and it will show a free PDF file of it. On my search it came up first!
try to reset. Unplug the unit, press and hold speaker A and speaker B buttons and plug the unit in outlet. If doesn't help, the unit may have a problem with microprocessor or dsp boad and need to be serviced at a repair shop.
Actually, Denon used a thermal fuse in the primary of the power transformer.
Have a tech check the primary winding and see if it's open.
if so , have it bypassed
Try doing a factory reset by turning off main power switch.hold down speaker a and b buttons while turning on main power switch ,display will flash 3 time s then release buttons, this then returns unit to factory default settings.
Component inputs are for video only, and when connected through a receiver then the television also must have a video input coming to it from the video out from the receiver. If you want audio that will be a separate connection from the xbox to the receiver either by digital coaxial cable or optical cable, or composite.
If "Digital" sign blink on front panel, it means DSP do no start properly. If DSP do not start, main UC mute audio. Change IC,
AT49LV002-70TC (IC
817 ) at DSP board (Denon P/N: 262 3010
006).
