I have a ESA M# PDP4294LV1 S# 5000101217 that takes a long tome to display a good picture, it is very dark and kinda fuzzy. Until i guess it gets warm about 5-12 min. It did not do this until recently. When it started it did it for a short time and has gotten longer. It dose it on all inputs, component, s-video and pc, a/v. Do you know which one of the board would fix this problem? After it gets warm it is fine and will not do it again until it is turned off and let cool down. If I turn on something that is very bright like an outside shot or something very white it will snap in and the color is right. But if it gets dark or shows a black colored background it will get all dark and fuzzy until it warms up. Any thought would be help full.
Thanks in advance.
Steve
Same problem, here. It started with taking about 10 minutes to warm up, then the color would self - correct. Now, it will stay like that for 2+ hours. I read where one guy turned his set off, then back on again, & it corrected the problem. I tried it & it worked! I know it's a bandaid fix, but at least we can watch a show with a beautiful picture again.
I am having a similar issue. Did you ever figure out the problem??

My tv is about 15 years old and akes about 10 minutes befor the fuzziness leaves and I have a clear picture. Is it the picture tube going bad?
I have the same problem. Its dark and fuzzy and takes a good 10-15 mins before a clear picture develops. This only happens when the TV has not warmed up.
After a year of owning my 46 sony bravia I have the same problem as play2livs. Dark fuzzy picture on the right side of my screen. After about 10 mins it clears up and I have a beautiful picture, until the tv gets cold and the problem occurs again
