channel autoscan doesn't work with some cable providers.....Are you connected to a cable like Time Warner, Charter, etc?? Who cares about autoscan anyway?

Connect the TV to external antenna or cable and do the following ot autoscan channels. If it autoscans, and doesn't store any stations in its memory, the memory IC has damaged and should be replaced with same type and number. Wait till autoscan completes and see whether the first channel receve will comes displayed or not. It will take some time to complete. the procedure is:
From Menu Press Vol [+/-] then Channel [UP/DOWN] buttons to find CHANNEL AUTOSCAN.
Press Volume [+/-] button, channels will be scaned automatically. OK
Make sure the cable is on when you autoscan. If the autoscan doesn't see it,manually inputing won't get you there. Make sure you have the correct band selected when you autoscan.
