By load the toner, if you mean inserting the toner cartridge. Then i will give you instructions. In laser toner printer, there is toner cartridge, and not ink jet cartridge. In laser toner cartridges, there is a black color toner power and it does have any liquid ink, which ink jet cartridges have.To remove the laser toner cartridge from hp laser jet 1100 printer, its simple. The front door open and old toner cartridge comes out.Just pull the front door towards you. While inserting cartridge. If you have problem, then take note that, sticker side of the cartridge is towards you.On the cartridge there is a rectangle flap, which you hold in your hand. This is meant for holding the cartridge, while removing and inserting cartridge. The stick side will be in your side. There is a green color drum, the drum side will be on opposite site.--------------
Still any problem.Keep updated.But i think that will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Faded prints are possible due to following reasons.
1. Fogged red mirrors inside the Laser box 2. Alignment of the Laser Box 3. Calibration Problem 4. Cleaning Problem
I will guide you with simple steps first, if this dosen't work working with laser box is little tough & time consuming, hence will describe later.
To Calibrate the colors, Press the 'Green Button' in the front panel, use the arrow keys to navigate through menu.
Select 'System Setting' by pressing the green button again, navigate using the arrow keys and select the 'Calibrate Color', select green button to select and confirm to 'Calibrate Now'. This will take few minutes.
In addition to that, to clean the paper path, select the green button and use the arrow keys and navigate thru' menu and select 'Service'. select using the green button and navigate through menu and select cleaning option. This will take few minutes.
Try printing some documents and check whether you have fixed. If you have not got the original print quality, Let know to guide you more technically.
You have to print the first side then take those prints and put them back into the paper tray to print the second side (Manual Duplex). If this were a DN model it would have built in automatic duplexing and you cound select "duplex printing" from your print setup screen and the printer would print both sides automatically.
This document provides information about replacing the print cartridge for the HP LaserJet 1010 printer series, including life expectancy and replacement instructions.
Print cartridge life expectancy
The life of the print cartridge depends on the amount of toner that your print jobs require. When printing text on letter/A4-size paper at five percent coverage, the print cartridge lasts an average of 2,000 pages. This assumes that you set the print density to three and disable EconoMode. (These are the default settings.) See Ordering supplies for information on ordering replacement print cartridges.
Changing the print cartridge
Follow the below instructions to change the print cartridge:
Open the print cartridge door, and remove the old print cartridge. See the recycling information inside the print cartridge box.

CAUTION:
To prevent damage, do not expose the print cartridge to light. Cover it with a piece of paper.
Remove the new print cartridge from the packaging, and gently shake it from side to side to distribute the toner evenly inside the cartridge.

Pull the tab until all the tape is removed from the print cartridge. Put the tab in the print cartridge box to return for recycling.

HP LaserJet 4700 printer comes with inbuilt network card so you don't need to install another network card. If you want to but network card for your PC then go for 100/1000 Mbps network card.
i am an expert in a different catagory,...
but i read your problem accidently and i had the same problem with my laser jet..

The standard port settings used when setting up a Printer Port is Port 9100 (TCP) when normally communicating with the Jet direct / LaserJet 4 plus printer. However when using the Emulex Card it s default is Port 2501 (UDP). So within XP change the Port setting to 2501 and it then will communicate correctly.
