I have an U-line combo 75A and the ice maker(part number 400) has started overfilling. When water enters the ice maker, it runs out the overflow hole. Any suggestions?

Few thing can happen, bad thermostat it caused the ice maker stuck in harvest cycle, short in ice maker defrost heater, bad water valve switch or the overflow hole drilled to low, it should be 1/4 inch below the top, I seen some of them drilled 1/2 inch below and it caused water leak.

Ice maker overfill

it sound like you have a leaky water valve or the ice maker is calling for to much water, can be adjusted.

Ice maker is splashing water all over back of freezer and it builds up til the fan starts to make noise if I turn it off and defrost the ice it will start up noise free til the ice builds again.

What is the model number of your unit? When the ice builds up, does the ice just build up where it is splashing or is the ice also building up behind the back wall of the freezer?

Thank you! Richard

Ice maker overflowing

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

U-line combo not making ice. Have cleaned

bad water valve, thermostat, freezer not cold enough, make sure the ice maker metal rod is at down position or on back of the ice maker plastic water line is frozen. also depends what year combo you have, there operation is a little different.

Ice maker over fill, water keeps running

If water keeps running to the ice maker all the time even when it doesn't call for water , the water valve for the ice maker is leaking(located in the back of the refrigerator, bottoom right),but if overflow only when it calls for water(no more than 7 seconds) the problem is in the ice maker control board, you can replace it but it will cost almost as a new ice maker.

Ice bucket/bin frozen in place

mine was overfilling because the ice was getting stuck on the way out. So some stayed in the tray and when the water would refil, it would overfil and go over the stuk cubes. leaving it to overflow to the bottom and freeze like yours.
