I am having difficulties with service on my Pandigital Novel. It is not letting me browse the internet or nothing.Could it be that the SD Card is missing?I owned a different tablet in the past and I think it worked without a SD Card. What now?I am having difficulties with service on my Pandigital Novel. It is not letting me browse the internet or nothing.Could it be that the SD Card is missing?I owned a different tablet in the past and I think it worked without a SD Card. What now?

Yes, the hardware is SDHC-compatible. You just need to apply Microsoft hotfix KB934428 for Windows XP (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=de&FamilyID=6edfb30f-b1ab-42a8-a330-acd6762961bc) and you are set. 16GB SDHC working like a charm.

sd card is automatically recognized, however you need to
- set default storage as sd card
- also move apps and data to sd card from memory/storage setting menu individually.
Yet many apps occupy main ram and refuse to release space
Hi Insert the SD card into the SD card slot on side of Tablet the correct way round. Taking note of the angled side of the card in relation to the diagram on the Tablet case. Start Tablet, go to settings, storage, scroll down to SD card & mount the card. Once the card is mounted it's ready to use. Remember to unmount the card before removal to reduce the risk of data loss. Hope this helps. Regards Bob
I find charging for 24 hours before use will yield the maxium capacity, after that overnight charge is fine. I would wait until tablet is activated before the sd cards are inserted.
Back up your most important data
to an external storage device in case anything goes wrong while
changing the BIOS settings. Remove any disc that is currently inserted
in the IBM Thinkpad X41's disc drive. 2-Shut off the Thinkpad X41
laptop. Turn the laptop back on and wait for the "To interrupt normal
startup, press the blue Access IBM button" message to appear on the
screen. 3-Tap the blue Access IBM button
at the top of the keyboard. Click the "Access BIOS" button when the
"Rescue and Recovery" menu appears. 4-Click "Yes" and wait for the BIOS to load. Type in the current BIOS password for the IBM X41 and press Enter.5-Navigate over to the IBM's
"Security" heading by tapping the right arrow key twice. Scroll down to
the "Supervisor Password" listing and press "F5."6-Type the IBM's current BIOS
password and hit Enter. Leave the next field blank if you want to
completely remove the BIOS password, or instead type in a new password
to replace the old one. Press Enter.7-Press "Escape" and then highlight "Restart" and press F5. Navigate to "Save changes and Restart" and press Enter.
I had the same issue when i first got my used x41, i downloaded Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG Network connection driver onto external drive then installed onto cdrive. Im no pro so hope it helps..
Here's the link where you can download the driver for XP. Make sure you select the correct family. X41 has two types of unit. Tablet and regular laptop. Make sure also to choose the correct type and model. If you are not aware of this, it is actually at the white sticker at bottom of your laptop.
