Dear friend your touchpad is locked & that's why your not able you use it. For unlocking use FN+F7 after running your operating system.

here is something for you to try, being I am typing to you on an ACER EXTENSA 4420-5239 push and hold the function key (its next to the window key at the bottom of the keyboard and has a blue Fn on it now while holding it down press f7 this will disable or enable the touchpad
This problem is common with Acer Extensa seies . I've an Acer Extensa myself . and i always get this problem . In future i advice you to not use the touchpad . Just use an external mouse to prevent this to happen .
Download the latest keyboard/touchpad drivers from the manufacturers website and that should allow you to choose your own shortcut keys by configuring it.....sodeep
