Replace the thermostat. If it's really getting to 550F without shutting off the pilot and main burner, or the electric in an electric fryer, by tripping the high limit, replace the high limit as well. The high limit should shut off all the gas or electric at about 425F.

Oven cooks 10 degrees cooler. How can I fix it?

select bake
set the oven to 550 degres
hold the bake button until you see the temp go to zero
push the temp select up until it changes in five degree increments to the desired bump up in temp you can raise it or lower it up or down by 35 degrees in five degree increments, once you have the desired adjustment it will revert back to normal on the controls screen readout
check the oven temp and adjust as necessary, this info is available in your users manual as well.

5.0 L with CFI = 550 rpm

5.0 L with CFI = 10 degrees @ 550 rpm

5.0 L with a 4bbl carb = 700 rpm

5.0 L with a 4bbl carb Calif. = 10 degrees btdc @ 800 rpm

5.0 L with a 4bbl carb Fed. = 12 degrees btdc @ 800 rpm

A/c shuts down after about 30 seconds

Sounds to me either a low refrigerant charge or low air volume over the evap coil (inside). There is a sencer for temps outside maybe it's tripping out on that.

Oven tempature is 35 degrees celcius less than set tempature even after adjusting oven tempature control

if you read your tappan instructions, it will tell you to turn your oven to 550 degrees, then press and hold the bake button for 15 seconds. it will blank out and go to 0. adjust temp up or down accordingly. peace out.
