I have a ProCom Ventless Fireplace. LP Sometime

I have a ProCom Ventless Fireplace LP. Sometime when the burner ignites it only lites the front tube and doesn't lite the back section of burner causing gas to escape. I have two of these fireplaces but different models. One is just fine. I notice on the one that I have trouble that the pilot lite is about in the middle of the front burner tube but the good one the pilot is located at the first burner hole. This doesn't look like a good setup having the pilot half way of the front tube.

Procom ventless heater. What causes it to stop heating?

ProCom Ventless products are equipped with an ODS pilot assembly, precision-engineered burners for clean burn and a non-adjustable regulator to prevent over-firing. The purpose of the ODS is to shut off the supply of gas to the heater/fireplace when the oxygen level drops below 18%.

I have a procom ventless fireplace heater and the pilot light will not stay lit

Sounds lie you need to replace the bimetallic strip by the pilot light. If that is bad the main gas nor the pilot will stay on.

Procom pilot light wont light

Make sure the gas valve is on. The thermocouple may need to be cleaned in order for the pilot to stay lit.

Napoleon Fireplace propane Pilot won't light main burner even though gas flows in?

  • I'm going to assume your fireplace has a pilot light.
  • Follow the little holes in the burner that lead to the pilot light.
  • Make sure the pilot flame is pointing directly at the closest burner hole. (adjust if necessary).
  • Often, you will need to sprinkle a layer of "glowing embers" in this area. The embers will help the gas travel to the pilot light and ignite.
  • Always start your propane appliance on "High" never "Low". Cold propane likes to drop to the bottom of the firebox and accumulate until it reaches the pilot (this is called delayed ignition). Keeping it on "high" will help the fuel travel over to the pilot without buildup.
