    @svester,

I'm no apologist for Sears, I have no involvement with them. I just had to say this control relay issue is not due to Sears as you claim, but rather Whirlpool who build the washer for Sears (as well as Maytag, Amana, Inglis to mention a few of whom all have the same board) nor is this the only scenario that will manifest in these error codes. Therefore, your link is waaaay off-side...regardless of what kind of electronic genius you "claim" to be. Any technician should know these retailers don't build anything themselves.

I was getting the F H error code on my washer. I hit cancel twice to clear the code to see of a cycle restart would remedy. Now the wash cycle is stuck on 45 min. remaining & the cancel button is no...

The FH error code on your Kenmore Elite washing machine is an indicator that there is a problem with incoming water. When there is little water coming into the machine, the FH code will appear and the washer will stop. There are a couple of common problems you can check while you are resetting the FH error code. You will need to remove the power supply to the washer to reset the code.

  • 1 Look for the "Pause/Cancel" button on the washer control panel. The button will be below the digital time clock and to the lower right of the wash cycle selector.

  • 2
Press the "Pause/Cancel" button twice to cancel the wash cycle. Unplug the Kenmore Elite washer from the wall outlet.

  • 3 Check for kinks in the water supply hose while the washer does not have power. Turn off the water supply spigots and remove the hoses from the back of the washer. Check the port screens at the hose connections for sediment buildup and clean as necessary.

  • 4
Connect the water supply hoses back to the washer and turn on the water spigots. Plug the washer cord back into the wall outlet.

  • 5
Select the wash cycle and press the "Start" button.

I've gotten the error code DL and then F, I tried sanding, unplugging but it still shows me the error. How can I fix it?

    Hi,
Initially unplug the washing machine. While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for five seconds.
Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the DL code is cleared.

If you still face the problem then follow the procedure:

Unplug the washer and allow the unit to sit for 30 minutes to give the suds time to dissolve.

Plug the washer back in and press [Power] to turn on the washer.

Do not choose a washing cycle. Press the [Spin Speed] key until "No Spin" is selected.

Press [Start/Pause] to begin a drain only cycle.

After the drain only cycle has completed, remove the clothing items from the machine. Turn the power back on and select [Rinse and Spin] and then press [Start/Pause].
This will remove excess soap suds and light residue from the drum.

Repeat this step until no visible suds are in the drum of the washer.

    Hope this helps.

My washer is not starting in the selected mode. It had a fault code of "dL" which I figured means there is a "door lock" problem. Is this correct and can it be fixed by me? Please help, Thank You

DL error stands for Door Lock.Follow the instructions to repair yourself.

    Step 1

If your door hasn't yet locked and will not lock simply press cancel and try again.
If this will not work and the cycle still will not start up then skip to step three.

    Step 2

If your door is already locked and you get an "F" error press and hold the cancel button and select drain/spin.If this still doesn't work and your clothes are trapped inside do not resort to getting out the crow bar and a sledge hammer. You can manually unlock the door by following these steps:

    - Unplug washer or disconnect power.
    - Remove the lower kick panel.
    - Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit.
    - Located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a teardrop shaped tab.
    - Gently pull the tab down about a 1/4˝ or until a click is heard.
    - The door may be now opened.

    Step 3

If your door fails to lock and your cycle will not start moderately but forcefully hit the back right hand corner of the washer with your fist. You may have to do this a couple of times, but you should hear the locking mechanism click so your washer is now locked.

Kenmore elite HE4 has fault code of dl and F?

F-DL code is for your washer and if the main control has not been replaced then that is what I would replace most of the time F-DL is also seen with a F-11 code later in the cycle, i am sure you hear the washer try to lock the door a few times and pop up F-DL. the main control part # is based off of the model#

    Washer displays DL error

The FdL fault is a door lock error code. It sounds like you may have a bad door latch. Unplugging it and/or pushing the cancel button will not clear the fault as long as the fault condition exists. At best, you may have to replace the door latch. At worst, the CCU (main computer) could also be bad, causing the fault. The door latch can run about $50. The CCU is about $200. Double check all you wiring first before replacing any parts. I hope this will help you.
