Picture is to big for screen and can't see the writing at the top or bottom? What does the touch focus do, as we have NO Manual I can't get the picture to fit the screen. I think it is just an adjustment but it is frustrating to watch.

I don't Know what TV you have so I can't be specific. Usually there is a format button on your remote control. If you have one that's what you want to change.

Picture is bluring...especially the writing..

If you are comfortable working inside the set, locate the flyback transformer (part with large red wire coming out the top.) This part should have 2 controls on it. One should be labeled screen and the other focus. Try adjusting the focus control a bit. If that fails to resolve the focus, please update this with the make and model and additional details will be supplied.

Thanks,
Dan

Double Vision & Bowed Screen

Chances are that the convergence amps are bad.
If those are mounted on a separate board, replacing the board would be the easiest thing to do. Running the magic focus or touching up the convergence in the customer menu may be required.

sorry to say that your top screen needs completely replacing if it is doing as described!!
the bottom screen and the touch screen are seperate, jus mounted on top of each other, so if the picture works on the bottom then the bottom screen is fine just the touch screen is broken. again i think if the cables/ribbons are in correctly and it isn't responding then it will need replacing!!

The picture on my tv is too big

Take the remote for the TV...not the cable.
They usually have a RESET button.  Go through setting the TV back to factory settings.  This usually corrects this problem.

Displays too dark..

take the bottom stand off, pop the back off usually 4 screws. look for a big pink wire running down fron the picture tube...follow it the big part on the pc board it is most like a black big component on your right closes to the back cover. ok this part is the x-transformer there are little screws you can turn but might be sealed in glue like polish. dont touch the the top screws for they the focus but turn the very bottom screw, closest to the circuit board, with a screwdriver clockwise braking the seal....just alittle 1/8 turn ...if u see white lines u went to far. I do this with a mirror and hook the pc to it and plug the monitor up just keep one hand away and you wont get a shock too bad if you clumsy. I turn the screen control clockwise until i just see the white lines or black background lightens to gray..then back counterclockwise till the gray is black and stop its perfect now...and u should see a alot brighter screen. adjusting the focus if needed turn the control back and forth untill see clear letters in small text. its tricky if u more than focus control u must turn them both then and concentrate on the center screen small text. if u didnt understand anything I said dont fool with it and take to a tv shop.

Tv help!

When you have the back off, look for the flyback (high voltage) transformer. This is the part that has the thick red wire protruding from its top which attaches to the top of the picture tube with a suction cup. On the flyback there are 2 controls, the bottom one is screen and the top one is focus. Turn the bottom control (screen) down (counterclockwise) until the white lines go away and the brightness looks normal. Then turn the top control (focus) until the picture is nice and sharp. If the F connector has been pulled out and the TV has RCA (red, white, yellow) jacks, use those jacks and set the TV to INPUT.

JVC AV-32F704 32" TV Picture is blurry - cannot read any writing on the screen

You didn't mention if you saw fine white diagonal lines running through the screen from top to bottom. If so, you likely have a shorted Picture Tube which is not usually fixable. If there are no lines seen running through the screen, then it is possible the High voltage transformer which also has a screen voltage and focus control built in that could be bad. I would expect the cost of that part to be about $100, so the repair cost total could approach that of a new set I would guess.
