I have a maytag upright freezer. It is on the coldest setting. A bowl of water on the bottom shelf freezes overnight. The middle one is freezing, but not entirely. The top one is still water, but cold. What coud the problem be - cheaper to just replace? It is only 3 years old, but no longer covered. Thank you!! Not sure the model is the correct one, it is an upright, could be an 11 or 13 cuft - a little smaller than my 20 cu ft refrigerator.

Check to make sure door seals are touching the frame all round, could be an air leak,also make sure there is no ice build up around the inside casing. if so fully defrost unit,clean all vents/drain pipe, then turn back on and leave it for 24hrs (freezers work beast when full).....and door shut..how many times have you closed door after them????

    inside cabinet - remove back panel and see if the evaporator fan is spinning any time the compressor is running. the fans go bad sometimes

Check your door/'s are sealing if they leak u will get freezing occurring in the bottom and around the door will have allot of condensation.
good luck all the best . P's always lay liquid bottle on their side as they will cool quicker and be better on electricity.

Since this is a new freezer it should be serviced by the people who sold it to you in order to avoid any warranty conflict. The fan blades of these units are of a slip fit onto the motor shaft. It is possible that the fan blade has come off the motor shaft.

Freeze on bottom but not on top
when you plug it in do you ear a fan running if not plug the freezer on.and at the bottom of the freezer gently hit were you have a grill sometime the fan motor gonna start running and circulate the cool air if it work keep and eye on it for a few days take care cheers
