Sony Bravia KDL-40S4100's screen broke without impact. Turned off the TV for 15-20 minutes but stayed in the room. When I turned it back on, the screen was black, with white lines spiderwebbing out from one central point. Nothing touched the TV. Any history of similar problems?
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. It seems that you'll need to replace the screen completely however, replacing the screen will cost you same as buying a new TV so I'll anyways not recommend you to get it replaced. Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks

Thanks, I figured as much.
I'm trying to find a way to prove that nothing hit the TV, since the insurers are saying they won't cover the damage :(
