By default, the webcam icon does not appear on the desktop. However, if you want a quick access to your webcam application, you can create a shortcut on the desktop:
Click Start, and then All programs.
Click the Acer Crystal Eye webcam folder.
Right-click Acer Crystal Eye webcam, click Send to and then Desktop (create shortcut).
Go to ACER web site and download the CAM Drivers and install them again. OR, go to the Control panel/devices/ and look down the list and look for an ICON suggesting a device is not recognized. Click on the ICON and select Update Driver.
You could be missing the camera driver. Here are the download links:

Just scroll down to the camera drivers and download the first one. If it doesn't work, try the second. Good luck!
If your webcam is installed in an Acer computer product you may be able to find support on the Acer website. Would need the name and model numb r of your product.
If you have a stand alone Acer webcam you may have to try one of the sites that make drivers available. This one may be one of your best options:
go to this site WIN 7 http://www.getdriver.com/notebook/256/acer-aspire-4736-windows-7-drivers-32-bit.html download the drivers for webcam 2736z unzip and runit restart the laptop WIN XP go to http://www.cyberindian.net/2009/04/26/acer-aspire-4736z-notebook-launched/ unzip and run it then restart it
If you go to your start menu, look for a programme called 'acer crystal eye webcam' and that will bring up your webcam programme.
It is not in the folder 'Acer crystal eye webcam' though, just 'Crystal eye webcam'.
If this proves fruitless, type webcam into the search option at the bottom of your start menu and look for the crystal eye webcam.
If these do not work, then look in your control panel to make sure it is installed. If not, contact company, they have a good customer service standard (from my experience)
