If the battery is over a year old or you use it a lot then I would first look at the battery needing replacement. If you noticed that it would take fewer and fewer pcitures or that it charged funny ie too fast or too slow then it usually indicates the battery. Thats about 99% plus of the time. The other things can be the wall charger having failed or the internal charging circuit of the camera itself (very uncommon)

You can check the wall charger with a voltmeter to see if it is working. The battery is harder as they will show something but just have no capacity ie run flat real quick. I'd bet its the battery.
