ok, when you plug in the set, does the Vizio emblem turn orange? Does it turn white when you hit the power button? Most likely you have a issue with either the power supply board or main board. I would need more details to narrow it down
Soon after you do this for about, oh id say 2 months... depending on use... you will no longer get the problem. The TV will not turn on at all. I have the same problem with my TV and I'm taking it apart right now, and am going to see if its just the capacitor that no longer works, or if its the whole board that is fried. If you still get the orange/white vizio emblem, DO NOT UNPLUG FROM WALL. Unplugging from wall will completely drain the system and you will no longer be able to plug it back in after a while. We had the clicking thing for about 2 months before the tv died.
