Hi,

You're local Sennheiser dealer can fix it, no problem.
The repair takes a half an hour.

How do i sync my mic to my receiveri have a ew 100 g3 and after some kids were playing with it, I can't get any sound

Pressing the sync button whilst holding the mic close to the IR unit on the receiver should sync things back up. If this has already been done things to try next are as follows.

RF Mute. Press and release the power button. RF Mute should be displayed. Press the roccker switch and select RF mute OFF, press the rocker switch again.
Check in the advanced menu that the pilot tone is on on the handheld AND the receiver.

Issue more complicated than originally thought!

This isn't a solution. But after I've gotten into my microphone with the same issue using a torx screwdriver I found that I (Electrical Engineer) don't have the proper equipment to fix the issue. Roughly 100 dollars (Flat rate) and a send off to Sennheiser is your best bet.

It appears the power on/off button has been pushed in or broken off on a wireless EW 100 G2 microphone. ID # 90913 Serial# 111619

Hi,

Often the rubber button is pushed into the microphone.
You can easily disasemble the unit.
Just open the batterycase, you will find some small torx screws.

Sennheiser ew 100 g2 handheld microphone loose coil in capsule?

I had a similar problem with a sure sm 57 that I used on a guitar amp. I don't know if this is the correct fix but it worked for me. I took thin strips of paper to use as spacers and placed them evenly around the coil. I used a hot melt glue gun and placed 3 small drops around the edge of the coil. Remove the spacers and the coil should be secure.

Broken power switch

Hi,

If you have a G1 SKM100 mic, the small on/off switch is an SKQLLC Tact switch made by ALPS. I don't know what's in a G2 or anything about the ones with the orange button. I just replaced the on/off switch and it took about 20mins. It's a bit fiddly but not too bad so long as you have a reasonably fine-tipped soldering iron. If you're in the USA then it look like there are a number of distributors who will sell one-offs. I'm in the UK and had to go back to the place I originally bought the mic from (DM music), who got it from Sennheiser and then sold it to me. For some reason Sennheiser wouldn't sell it to me direct. Good luck.
