You can either use test equipment etc or start guessing----most likely board would be main board that controls screen and all information viewed there.

There's a minor chance it may be something else, but with the sporadic problem appeareance it would be impossible to diagnose remotely.

This is the most likely reason for similar problems, but, I repeat, no guarantees.

You most likely have a problem with the voltage protection circuitry, the screen starts up, the crowbar is somehow activated, and it shuts it down, You need a service manual. Below, below that is a user manual, they have invaluable information, The service manual has troubleshooting and repair info found nowhere else.

Please check if you have turned the wide feature ON. Wide feature would make the picture wider.

z sustain board is bad

The screen does not work properly .Ribbon wire fails.

This can be on the matrix drive board, or the display assembly itself. It is possible to also have a defect in the address decoding area that will cause this.

The procedure is to swap out the suspect boards to determine where the fault is, leave the working boards in the set, and then follow up any necessary calibrations that are necessary.
