Whirlpool SM8280867 stopped agitating and makes a clicking sound with a crackle. What part might I need? Where can I get the assembly diagram? Thanks in advance for any information.

yes, sounds like your agitator dogs are broken, four beige teeth inside top of agitator part only roughly 4.99 to 29.99 and labor 65.00 - 95 labor depending were u live and who u use. thank you allbrandsappliancerepair.com
Hi,
If this a whirlpool brand washer, there are sone parts bad in the agitator it's self. These parts are called dogs and they make the agitator rachet so that the top half only goes one direction. Does this sound like what you are experiencing? If so, let me know and I can assist you further.
