Our Kenmore HE2t reads F26 and stops running half way through cycle

Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 2 mins.
Repower the unit.
Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the code. Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

htc sensor isnt working i would recon
perhaps the element isnt getting power
did it trip your circuit breaker
some times the htc fails
all you get is machine stop because the heater is not detected

if it spins rinses and empties in a timely manner
then all thats left is the heater system

if you get the F26 error code, Press Stop, Open the door, press the black button just above the right middle of the machine opening, above the latch, hopefully, you will also hear a click, and then your machine will work normally.

The dispenser is removable like a car ashtray. Put it in the dishwasher and run it through a cycle Or soak it in hot water and clean it.

Possible Causes/Procedure

-Door not opened during 3 consecutive cycles.

1. Open and close the door.

If it has a clean cycle that says, "Bleach Only," run it with 1/2 cup bleach right in the machine. If not, run it on the longest, hottest cycle you have. In the future, leave the door open slightly between loads.
