I reset my surge protector and the computer wont power up. i think i need a new power supply. the power cord is working fine. Please let me know where i can find a power supply for the aspire...

The Acer Aspire L100 is a desktop computer powered by a special DC adapter and power cable. The computer's motherboard incorporates a fuse designed to prevent any power surges from damaging the computer. If the fuse burns out due to a power surge or for any other reason, the computer will no longer function. You can check the motherboard fuse for damage yourself, then take it to a trained technician for replacement if needed

Shut down the Acer Aspire L100 and turn the tower around.

Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the tower. If the computer will not boot and the fan does not turn on, the fuse may be burned out.

Unplug the power cord from the rear of the tower

Turn the tower on its side and remove the Phillips-head screws connecting the back panel to the Aspire L100's cabinet.

Pull out the motherboard assembly gently from the back of the cabinet. The internal fuse is located on the motherboard behind the DC power jack, which is to the right of the monitor jack

Let me know if this helped..

We set up the monitors in our pmp 6000 at the mon send jacks but we didn't get any sound from it when we turned up the monitor volumes. What is the proper way to set them up?

I HOPE you know that the monitor send jacks are NOT powered. You MUST use either powered monitors or an external amp for these to drive speakers. Assuming you have done that, you have to turn up one or both of the monitor knobs for each channel you wish to send to the monitors at the desired level. Then you advance the monitor faders for the overall monitor level.

Desktop: Gateway LX6810-01 PC will not power on. When I hit the Power button on the tower, a long continuous BEEP comes on and nothing appears on the monitor. After the BEEP, the On light (on tower)...

    Thank you for using FixYa

I would try shutting down the computer in the normal way, and turning off the monitor.
Boot up and turn the monitor back on.
If it still doesn't work, then I would check the cables and power plugs and wall plugs.
Check the mouse and keyboard cable and any other cables plugged into the computer.
The next step requires a seperate monitor or laptop.
Try unplugging the monitor and pluging in another monitor. Most laptops have a common
VGA adaptor jack or even an Svideo jack.
If the other monitor does not work, Then take to a qualified technician for repair.
It could be your power supply in the computer or video controller.

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

    I dont have a power cable.where do i find?

    A) If it is a standard kettle lead (see image linked below) then you can get these cheaply pretty much anywhere, cash converters always has these for around £2 or so
    http://www.whitedog.co.uk/catalog/images/ukmains_lead.jpg

    B) If it is a DC jack power supply then you'll need to match up the right jack, the right volts, and the right amps. IF this is the case then let me know all the details on the label (input volts and amps) and I'll find you a suitable replacement, I may need a pic of the dc jack though,

    C) you could advise the exact model number of the monitor and I can find out all of the above myself and let you know

DGM monitor - jack no longer fits

I don't know what model monitor you have. If you say that jack does not fit the socket. Check the pins in the jack, if some are bent, try straighten them out with a pair of pliers and see if that fixes the problem.

    Power on/off

    Hi, Try using another outlet.
Does your AC power cord have any indicator lights which is why you know the power cable works fine?
Base on your assessment, I would say the power supply board on the monitor needs to be replaced.
    Thanks,
    Mike H.
