Hp md5820n when is about to turn on it make a weird sound and then both red lights are flashing, i already have replace the lamp

Hi,

Flashing green standby led light at the front panel is an indication that the unit waiting for the lamp to turn on. Since the lamp led light flashes, the unit sensed it already burned out.
Faulty lamp driver has a different error code which is "flashing of the standby light 5 times".
Your unit will back to normal operation again after the lamp replacement.

Hi,normally when the 3 led lights show up they indicate its time to replace the lamp.The lamp that is inside your tv normally last around 3000 hrs 1-2 yrs .Pay attention to any weird sounds which could indicate another problem.

It may be the ballast....

Did you hear that wierd noise 3 times after you turn the TV on? if so the ballast is working try replacing the lamp XL-2000u

Sounds like your lamp is blown . Replacement part is UX21516 lamp. this is a common problem with my 50VG825 also, 3 lamps in less than 3 years. Try this if you have'nt already. Hope I helped

It sounds like a bad lamp, a bad lamp driver or a combination of the two. Be aware that sometimes a bad lamp driver will blow a perfectly good lamp, so if you're not sure which is causing the problem, replacing BOTH would probably be the best course of action

It sounds like the lamp is in need of replacement. You could call a service company to replace the lamp, but it is so easy to replace the lamp ones self. So, call Panasonic and order the lamp, they will send to your home with instructions.
Three screws and your home free!

I have a brand new L2114a lamp for sale. I paid 299 plus shipping on ebay but it turned out to be the wrong one (despite what the manual says). I ordered the correct one I needed from HP. I am willing to part with it for 200. I can send pictures of the lamp and the box and the reciept. This is a BRAND NEW LAMP.
