Brother CS-6000i - the bobbin thread is not coming through in order to make a stitch. I have cleaned the bobbing case, changed needles, re-threaded machine, changed thread, and even changed bobbins. It was working fine the other day. Suggestions? Thank you.

Follow the instructions below if you receive the error message "E6"
1. Check if the machine rattles and stops as soon as the sewing starts
- Upper thread could be tangled or threaded incorrectly
- Check that the thread take-up lever is threaded

- Raise the presser foot to raise the needle to its highest position and re-thread the machine
2. Remove the bobbin and bobbin case
- Clean any lint or loose threads

- Install the bobbin case so that the projection on it aligns with the spring and install the bobbin into the bobbin case

3. The needle could be bent
- Check that the needle does not hit the needle plate
- Replace the needle if necessary
- Make sure the flat side is facing the back
If the problem persists, your machine may require service.

What kind of thread are you trying to use? Is it a decent fresh thread? If, it is old, throw it out and buy some fresh quality thread. Usually, cheap thread is the problem.

Sounds like the bobbin thread is not inside the tension on the bobbin case. This normally happens when the bobbin is upside down. Insert the bobbin and pull on the thread.The bobbin should turn counter clockwise.

I have the same problem but I believe the answer is to purchase a new shuttle which is the part the bobbin sits in and is most likely scratched or damaged. The quote I got was 40-50 dollars
