My SHE4402UC/36 dishwasher malfunctioned all the lights were flashing and the machine was trying to drain. The guy came out and replace the control board. The dishwasher now read 199 on all cycles except the rinse and hold, the santitized light does not come when its done. The repair guy told me the count down timers were flakey on the the Bosch dishwashers and it would learn my dishwashing patterns in time. So 6 cycles later the dishes are still damp at the end of the cycle-the length of the cycle and the dispaly are out to lunch and the dishes are not hot to touch at the end of the cylce. will my unit learn these patterns or is that baloney

Then, fresh water is let into the tub, fills to the proper amount, then the main pump starts. The lights flashing are an error code--different combinations of buttons flashing mean different things. On some models, a button light will flash a certain number of times, pause, then flash another number of times. This is a binary code telling the user what is malfunctioning. A fairly common occurence with Miele dishwashers is the seal on the pump/motor assambly swells up freezeing the motor.Miele makes tool to free it up very easily,if it doesnt reoccur the seal just swelled and it will be ok once freed up.If it does reoccur the seal needs to be replaced. Any Miele authorized service company will have this tool and could free the motor up within 5 minutes and only a couple uses will tell if it will swell again and need to be replaced.

That fixed mine after I wasted money on a heater.
