Dyne Mouse Problem

I can not get my Toshiba Satellite M115 laptop computer with Vista to complete the install of the plug and play driver for the Dynex optical mouse DX-PMSE.

  • Anonymous May 13, 2009

I have the same problem, when plugging in my dynex dx-pmse mouse, i get the following windows message.

"windows found the driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it"

An error occurred during installation of the device:
The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was writeen for windows 95 or later. Contact your hardward vendor.

I have contacted dynex over a week ago, but havent received a reply yet. I looked at there driver download page and they dont have an update for this model of mouse.

any help you can give will be greatly appreciated
    regards

    Dee

I have a similar problem which I seem to have fixed.
I have a Dell laptop and was using a borrowed retractable-cord laptop mouse. I unplugged it and plugged in the Dynex DX-PMSE and got the same message as you describe. For me, what fixed it was that I went into device manager and removed the old mouse, so I only had the touchpad showing for pointing devices. Then when I plugged in the Dynex mouse, it worked pretty much right away!

A mouse doesn't need a special driver, try uninstalling it from device manager and refresh.
or plug in to another usb port.

Toshiba m115-s1065 start getting a blue screen and rebooting.

Insert your windows disc. make sure your computer boots from the disc drive. Let the disc load. Do a startup repair for Vista/7. For XP let the disc load. Then select REPAIR COMPUTER. The recovery console comes up. Select your drive(C:). Enter password (if there isnt one leave it blank). Type in CHKDSK /R. Let it complete the scan. restart and you should be good. (it will take a while so be patient).

My mouse pad is not working on my toshiba Satellite m115

try reinstalling the touchpad driver. If that does not resolve the issue, most probably, it will be an issue with the harware.
